Job description

Role Objective

To act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO , supporting decision-making through financial analysis, governance, compliance, and performance monitoring across business units.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic & Financial Advisory to CEO

  • Work closely with the CEO on financial planning, business strategy, and investment decisions
  • Prepare financial insights, dashboards, and MIS reports for CEO reviews
  • Support evaluation of new projects, capex proposals, expansions, mergers, or acquisitions
  • Conduct profitability, cost optimization, and ROI analysis

2. Financial Planning & Control

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Monitor cash flows, working capital, and fund utilization
  • Ensure financial discipline across plants and corporate functions

3. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, Transfer Pricing, and other statutory requirements
  • Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulators
  • Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and risk management frameworks

4. MIS & Performance Monitoring

  • Design and review monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS for CEO and Board
  • Track KPI performance of business units and functional heads
  • Highlight financial risks, deviations, and improvement opportunities

5. Coordination with Stakeholders

  • Act as a single-point finance interface between CEO and:
    • Plant Heads
    • Business Heads
    • Legal, Compliance, and Secretarial teams
  • Support Board meetings, audit committee reviews, and investor interactions (if applicable)

6. Special Assignments

  • Handle confidential and critical assignments directly from the CEO
  • Support crisis management, turnaround initiatives, and strategic reviews

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • 13 years of post-qualification experience (Pharma / API / Manufacturing preferred)
  • Exposure to CEO’s office / CXO-level reporting will be a strong advantage
