Torrential rainfall in the past 24 hours created havoc in both Yadgir and Raichur districts.
Owing to the heavy inflow to the Basavasagar reservoir at Narayanapur in Hunsagi taluk of Yadgir district and the Sannati bridge-cum-barrage at Sannati village in Chittapur taluk of Kalaburagi district, Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigama Limited (KBJNL) authorities discharged 80,000 cusecs of water at 3 p.m. on Saturday to the Krishna from Basavasagar, while 4 lakh cusecs were discharged to the Bhima.
